Adult literacy & Numeracy
Adult literacy
The Adult literacy index (ALI) is a statistical measure used to determine how many adults can read and write in a certain area or nation. Adult literacy is one of the factors in measuring the Human Development Index (HDI) of each nation, along with life expectancy, education, and standard of living.

Literacy
Literacy has traditionally been described as the ability to read and write. It is a concept claimed and defined by a range of different theoretical fields. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) provides a useful and reasonably non-controversial definition of literacy--albeit one that emphasizes print texts (and doesn't include images, video, etc.); for UNESCO, literacy is the "ability to identify, understand, interpret, create, communicate, compute and use printed and written materials associated with varying contexts. Literacy involves a continuum of learning in enabling individuals to achieve their goals, to develop their knowledge and potential, and to participate fully in their community and wider society."
From the lens of educational research, literacy has come to describe the ability to communicate ideas and interpreting this communication. This conception of literacy includes several new facets that differentiate it from the 'ability to read and write' and from the UNESCO definitions above. First, as described by Gee, literacy as a practice is not just generic 'reading' and 'writing', but has a context within which one may or may not be literate. Second, literacy is no longer bound to 'enabling individuals to achieve their goals. This sentence limits literacy as a practice to 'one to one' communication (such as a conversation or a letter) or 'one to many' communication (such as a television broadcast or a newspaper article. With the proliferation of the internet and it's now ubiquitous role in modern society literacy has evolved to include something it has never before included, 'many to many' communication. This is what we have, with internet forums, blogs, Twitter, YouTube, and, of course, Wikipedia.org.
Adult Learning
Adult education is the practice of teaching and educating adults. Adult education takes place in the workplace, through 'extension' or 'continuing education' courses at secondary schools, or at colleges or universities. Other learning places include folk high schools, community colleges, and lifelong learning centers. The practice is also often referred to as 'Training and Development'and is often associate with workforce or professional development. It has also been referred to as andragogy (to distinguish it from pedagogy). Adult education is different from vocational education, which is mostly workplace-based for skill improvement; and also from non-formal adult education, including learning skills or learning for personal development.

How to find out the code for your radio
First step is to identify the radio. What is the make and what model is it? Usually this is done through reading the logo on the front of the radio. Got that, now look for the serial number. Usually on the back, often preceded by "sn". Next you need somewhere or someone to decode the device. Your local garage or dealer can do this, but they are expensive, best bet is to use a online service. Just type car radio code into a search engine..
